Yellow Jelly Bean Habanero

Yellow Jelly Bean Habanero is a very pungent and very spicy variety from Peru. The short plants have a very compact bushy growth habit and produce excellent yields of small, jelly bean-shaped chillies which start lime green and ripen to bright yellow. Very occasionally some of the chillies may develop creamy white patches, as can be seen in the ninth photo up from the bottom. Yellow Jelly Bean Habanero chillies have a strong fruity aroma and a citrus-like flavour and work very well in salsas, sauces, stews, stir fries and Caribbean and Yucatecan cuisines. This variety has an almost identical flavour to Cumari do Pará from Brazil, except the chillies are larger and hotter!
