Criolla Sella

Criolla Sella, also known as 'Aji Criolla Sella' and 'Hot Orange', is a very prolific variety from Bolivia that produces smallish finger-type chillies which start green and ripen to bright orange. They have a crispy texture and a strong citrus-like flavour and are one of the hottest Capsicum baccatum varieties I've ever tried. Criolla Sella chillies are good for spicing up many types of food, such as sauces, salsas, soups, stews, casseroles, stir fries and rice dishes. They also work very well on pizza and are good for pickling.
