Chocolate Habanero

Chocolate Habanero, also known as 'Congo Black', is a late variety that produces excellent yields or ribbed, blocky-shaped chillies which start emerald green and ripen to deep chocolate brown. The chillies can grow very large, often times larger than golf ball size, and upon reaching full maturity they develop a faint reddish coloured hue, which can be seen on both the inside and outside of the fruit. Chocolate Habanero chillies have a fantastic aroma and flavour and work very well in salsas, sauces, stews, stir fries and Caribbean and Yucatecan cuisines. When fully mature they develop a distinct smoky aroma, which is very pleasant.
