Bahamian Goat
Species: Capsicum chinense | Origin: Bahamas | Pungency: Very Hot
Bahamian Goat is a variety from the Gladstone Road Agricultural Centre (GRAC) in the Bahamas. The plants have a fairly compact growth habit and produce good yields of ribbed, Scotch Bonnet-shaped chillies which start green and ripen through yellow and then to light orange. When grown under optimum conditions the plants can get quite tall, and occasionally some of the pods may develop a small scorpion-like stinger tail. Bahamian Goat chillies have a slight floral aroma and a strong fruity flavour and work very well in salsas, sauces, stews, stir fries and Caribbean and Yucatecan cuisines.
