Amashito Wild
Species: Capsicum annuum | Origin: Mexico | Pungency: Hot
Amashito Wild, also known as 'Mashito' and 'Amash', is a wild variety from Mexico. The plants grow tall and produce good yields of Pequin-like chillies which start green and ripen to red. When fully ripe the fruit turns soft and falls away from the calyx very easily (deciduous). These types of chillies are known by many names in Mexico and are frequently used to spice up sauces, salsas, soups, stews and bean dishes. They also dry very easily and make a very tasty powder.
